Gordon Townsend informs his two young daughters Amy and Kim he and their mother are divorcing because monogamy isn't realistic, repeating it as a headline. Twenty-three decades after, Amy is a heavy-drinking party woman who sleeps about while composing for a men's magazine. She's at a casual relationship with a gym-addict called Steven, who had been attracted to her since he thought she"seemed like a dude". Even though Amy is interviewing Aaron, she receives a text out of Kim insisting they proceed Gordon into a more affordable assisted-living facility. Amy begins to hyperventilate, but Aaron calms down her and indicates they get meals. After a few beverages, in Amy's proposal, they go into his place and have sex.
